Enchanted Forest MAL 21 Challenge: What I’ve Made So Far…

Hello dear friends! I am so excited today to talk to you some more about the #enchantedforestmal21 challenge! I have so far made a sweet pixie doll, a lovely oak tree, a tiny little owl and a cute toadstool! They are all amigurumi toys and I will give you the details, so you can make them too if you like!

But first a little bit more about the MAL (Make Along). It is organized by the lovely ladies Dawn @dawnsdays and Jeanette @craftycleggcreations and it will run until the end of September! There’s still lots of time to start creating with yarn and make your own Enchanted Forest! And it is enchanted, I tel you! The more I make, the more I am drawn into its magical world and I want to make more creatures and trees and fairy houses! The ideas are endless! Of course, there will be prizes for the winners of the MAL: Dawn and Jeanette will announce two winners in September via Instagram and both will receive a mystery goodie package. And I can tell you their prizes are beautiful and so generous! To top it all up, another maker @vinylcreations.nl has donated a prize to the #enctantedforestmal21 and has offered a 10% discount in his shop, using the code Dawn10 😍 How lovely is that? Check out the beautiful crochet hooks that he made for Dawn.

Now to the amigurumi I have made. There’s sweet Seraphina the Pixie girl, a payed pattern by the talented Marili @thebluebobbin When I was making the doll, I pictured Seraphina with a wreath of flowers on her hair instead of the cute hat that Marili had designed -maybe because it’s summer and it’s terribly hot where I live 😁 You can find Seraphina at Marili’s shops.

The other patterns I have made are free and you can find them on the designer’s blogs and/or YouTube channels. There’s Ted the Toadstool by @stellasyarnuniverse and I think he is so cute and openhearted, he makes my day when I look at him! Last, but certainly not least, there’s Lil Oak the Hiding Tree, a very clever idea for an amigurumi toy by @sharon_ojala: it opens up on the top, so you can store all the little forest animals that the designer is also offering for free for you to make. The tree trank also has a hole in the front, from where a tiny little squirel head will pop out soon! The owl is also a @sharon_ojala‘s pattern. Isn’t it cute?

I have many plans for my next makes for the MAL. I want to make a cute Forest Spirit that I have found, a few more forest animals, trees, bushes, there might be an elf somewhere and I want to place all these into a nice little forest like the one in the picture above. Too ambitious? We’ll see. It’s so much fun, I’m enjoying myself so much, and I get so inspired by what everyone else is making! Join us, if you like and immerse yourself into the magical world of the Enchanted Forest Mal 21 💚
